Special Visitor Lauds Speedway's Sept. 11 Blood & Marrow Drive

Donors across the country Tuesday joined a circuit-wide effort by the NASCAR Foundation, Jimmie Johnson Foundation and Hendrick Marrow Program to collect blood, register donors to the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and raise community awareness. In Homestead, the drive was held in partnership with Florida's Blood Centers and Kids Beating Cancer, and ran from noon to 9:11 p.m. to commemorate victims of the 2001 World Trade Center attacks.

Homestead-Miami to host 2nd Annual Blood and Marrow Drive on Sept. 11

On Sept. 11—in partnership with Florida's Blood Centers and Kids Beating Cancer—Homestead-Miami Speedway will host the 2nd Annual "Spirit of America" Blood and Bone Marrow Drive (noon to 9:11 p.m.). Donors will be entered to win two tickets to the FORD 300 NASCAR Busch Series finale.
