House of Horrors

Kansas has been one of Kyle Busch's worst tracks statistically. Busch's problems started in practice, where he wrecked his primary car on the first lap on the track Saturday morning. Starting from the rear of the field on Sunday, he spun on the first corner of the first lap to avoid a multi-car wreck involving Danica Patrick. in The wreck Turn 1 left him in 34th place, and dropped him to fifth in the standings and 35 points behind leader Matt Kenseth.

Bad Luck Brad

Brad Keselowski was bumped by Kurt Busch and lost control of his car on Lap 48 of the race at Kentucky, triggering a seven-car crash. Busch went down on the apron and came back up on the track and tagged Keselowski, who lost control.

Dust Up in the Desert

The race ended in a green-white-checkered finish following an on-track altercation involving Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer in the closing laps. Four-time Sprint Cup Series champion Gordon was unable to finish the final laps, and was scored with a disappointing 30th place finish.

Close But No Cigar

Denny Hamlin took advantage of the late sunny conditions, passed Martin Truex Jr. with 31 laps to go and won at Kansas.Truex, who led a race-high 173 of 267 laps, twice dived down low on the track in the final three laps in an attempt to pass Hamlin. Greg Biffle was fifth and maintained the top spot in the standings by 15 points over Truex, who posted his series-high sixth top-10 finish.

Danica On Track at Indy

Joey Logano and Robby Gordon in happier times

Logano and Gordon repeatedly got together on track during the Nationwide race at Watkins Glen. With 11 laps to go, it happened for a final time as Logano?s car bounce into a tire barrier and burst into flames prompting Logano to say "You can't fix stupid. It's forever."
