SpeedJam: Largest IndyCar Field Since '03, "3 Doors Down"
Twenty-six cars have been entered for the IndyCar Series season-opening GAINSCO Auto Insurance Indy 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway March 29,: Twenty-six cars are entered for the IndyCar Series 2008 season opener, marking the first time since 2001 that the season will start with that many cars on track and the first time since 2003 that a race other than the Indianapolis 500 has featured that many starters.

Homestead-Miami Speedway is the only venue ever to host all of North America’s premier motorsports Championships, and we’re doing it again in 2010 as THE Championship Track will be the site of both the IZOD IndyCar Championship (Oct. 1-2) and NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend (Nov. 19-21).
