Danica-mania to strike Homestead-Miami twice this fall; Hamlin hunts Johnson
Danica Patrick has made her stock racing debut and will race at Homestead-Miami Speedway during Ford Championship Weekend Nov. 19-21. For Danica, this will make it two Miami Championship finales inside of two months—the IZOD IndyCar Championship Oct. 2 followed by NASCAR’s series-crowning finales in November.
The 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is set to begin (Daytona) and end (Miami) in Florida, and the new season will see new faces in new places, including a new teammate for South Florida’s Juan Pablo Montoya.
Denny Hamlin of Joe Gibbs Racing recently was listed as the preseason choice to unseat Jimmie Johnson as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion, which will be crowned at Homestead-Miami Speedway Nov. 21.

The IndyCar version of “musical chairs” continues with Justin Wilson changing teams before the start of the 2010 season. And it looks like it will be a family affair during IndyCar Championship Weekend, as Stefan Wilson has landed a ride in the Firestone Indy Lights Series. The IndyCar Series will again crown its Champion at Homestead-Miami Speedway Oct. 2, preceded by the Indy Lights finale on Oct. 1.

South Florida college-kid Andrew Carbonell and rum-son Gian Luis Bacardi did Miami proud with podium finishes during Rolex 24 weekend in Daytona. Another local, Hialeah native Terry Borcheller, teamed with 2009 Grand Prix of Miami winner Joao Barbosa at the Rolex to continue the latter’s winning ways.
Motor Racing Network (MRN) is set to carry every GRAND-AM race this season, including the Grand Prix of Miami on March 6, for which Homestead-Miami is offering tickets for just $20 (and a FREE Paddock Pass for early purchasers)….

For the 11th consecutive year, Homestead-Miami Speedway will serve as host to NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend in 2012. South Florida again will be the site when NASCAR crowns its Champions in all three of its top national divisions—the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series— the weekend of Nov. 16-18, 2011.
