MIAMI – For the 15th consecutive year, Homestead-Miami Speedway will host the Championship finales in all three of NASCAR’s premier series in 2016. NASCAR today announced schedules for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and XFINITY Series for the 2016 season, including the season-ending races, which will take place at Homestead-Miami Speedway the weekend of November 18-20. The Sprint Cup Series Championship, Ford EcoBoost 400, will be held on November 20, 2016. The XFINITY Series Championship, Ford EcoBoost 300, will be held on November 19, 2016, and the Camping World Truck Series Championship, Ford EcoBoost 200, will be held November 18, 2016.
“We are extremely proud and excited to once again host NASCAR’s finales in all three of its premier series for an unprecedented 15th consecutive year,” Homestead-Miami Speedway President Matthew Becherer said. “There’s no place quite like South Florida to host a Championship, and we are excited to continue our running tradition of crowning NASCAR’s champions. The drama from the new Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup format has brought the level of racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway to an all-time high, and we can’t wait to see what the Championship Round will bring when NASCAR returns in November this year and in 2016.”
With the start of the Eliminator Round this weekend at Martinsville, there is no doubt that the 2015 Ford Championship Weekend will host another tremendous championship finale. The 2015 Ford Championship Weekend will be held on November 20-22 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and will consist of the Sprint Cup Series, XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series finales.
