HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY TO HOST THE COLOR RUN ON OCTOBER 12
The Color Run™, the single largest event series in the nation, returns to Miami on Saturday, October 12. It will mark the first time Homestead-Miami Speedway is hosting the event, which will begin 9:00 a.m. EDT. Registration for the event is open to individual runners and teams.
“The Color Run™ is the latest example of the variety of unique events we host at Homestead-Miami Speedway,” said track President Matthew Becherer. “It’s a credit to our staff – especially our operations team – that we can pivot in a matter of days from a 5K to tire testing to the championship races that will be attended by more than 100,000 live and viewed by millions more. We’re honored that The Color Run is coming to our facility and we have every expectation of delivering a first-class event to participants.”
With no winners or official times, The Color Run celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality, bringing the community together to create a five-kilometer canvas of colorful fun in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe in different colors at each kilometer.
“We call The Color Run the ‘happiest 5K on the planet’ because our events bring together friends and family in a unique, healthy, and fun environment,” said Travis Snyder, founder of The Color Run. “Our only rules are that people wear white and prepare to be covered in color at the finish!”
The Color Run visited more than 50 cities last year with more than 600,000 participants.
