Tickets for NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend go on-sale to the general public May 2. For the 10th consecutive year, Homestead-Miami Speedway will serve as host to NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend. South Florida again will be the site where NASCAR crowns its Champions in all three of its top national divisions—the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series— the weekend of Nov. 18-20, 2011. Tickets for Ford Championship Weekend—Nov. 18-20 at Homestead-Miami Speedway—go on sale May 2, but fans can lock in tickets today with just a $30 deposit. For ticket information, click [here] or call (866) 409-RACE.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship tickets start at just $55 dollars and kids 12 and under are FREE in general admission sections to both Friday’s Camping World Truck Series Championship and Saturday’s Nationwide Series Championship. New this year:  Nearly all of the grandstand seats have been widened and now measure 22 inches wide; Homestead-Miami Speedway is going to welcome kids 12 and under to Sunday’s Sprint Cup Championship for half-price in reserved grandstands. Parking is always FREE at Homestead-Miami Speedway, and fans are invited to bring their own food and drink in a cooler measuring up to 14x14x14.

“It makes perfect sense to crown champions in all three of NASCAR’s top tiers during the same weekend at the same venue—in a region renowned as both an international beach and entertainment capital of the world,” said Track President Matt Becherer. “Consider that all of the other major-league sports—the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and the NCAA’s Final Four and BCS—rotate their Championships venues each year. Yet, this fall Homestead-Miami Speedway will host NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend for a tenth consecutive year—in the process delivering a robust economic impact felt by businesses, restaurants and retailers throughout the South Florida region. There’s really nothing like celebrating a championship in South Florida.”

Since the debut of Ford Championship Weekend in 2002, Homestead-Miami Speedway has played host to historic NASCAR Championship moments, including last fall when Jimmie Johnson became the first driver ever to claim five consecutive Sprint Cup Championships. In 2004, Homestead-Miami hosted the first-ever NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship, as Kurt Busch became the first to hoist the “Chase” hardware.

“On top of hosting NASCAR’s premier weekend each year, we do so while offering an average ticket price well below that of these other major sporting Championships,” said Becherer. “Toss in our free parking, “kids are free” pricing opportunities, bring-your-own-food-and-beverage policy and new wider grandstand seats for this year’s NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend, and that’s as fan-friendly and value-driven an approach as you’ll find in big-league sports for a Championship event. And come May 2nd, all the best seats will be available by visiting or calling (866) 409-RACE.”

It’s been quite the storyline start for NASCAR’s 2011 Sprint Cup series. And six races into a 36-race campaign, that bodes well for one phenomenal finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Among those racing for Miami glory will be Mr. Five-Time Johnson; four-time Champion Jeff Gordon, last year’s Championship runner-up Denny Hamlin, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, Kurt and Kyle Busch, and South Florida’s own Juan Pablo Montoya.

Last year Homestead-Miami Speedway served as host to a one-race shootout to decide the closest Sprint Cup Championship Chase in NASCAR history. And when it was over, Jimmie Johnson had prevailed as the series’ points Champion for an unprecedented fifth straight season.

Which driver is going to put an end to one of the most dominating runs in sports history?
