A field of more than 500 entries from around the United States, Canada and South America is expected to compete in 19 different races
WHAT: Championship Cup Series of Florida (CCS) motorcycle racing returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend for its 2011 Championship season-opener. A huge field of over 500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and South America are expected to compete in 19 different races on the challenging 2.21 mile, 13-turn road course.

SPOTLIGHT: 2010 Amateur Champion Sean Cassell of Altamonte Springs will compete in his first expert race this weekend. Expert rider Santiago Villa of Colombia won three CCS Overall Championships in 2010 and returns for 2011

Practice & Time Trials: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
SUNDAY: Gates Open: 7 a.m.
Practice: 8-9 a.m.
GT Races (5): 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Sprint Races (14): 12-5 p.m.
ADMISSION: General Admission includes Paddock Pass: Saturday/$15; Sunday/$20
2-Day Pass: $30 (Children under 12: free; Parking: free)
