Time to add one more Championship to the ever-growing list of series-crowning finales on the grounds of THE Championship Track: Homestead-Miami Speedway will stage Round 3 of the Pan American ROTAX Max Championship Challenge August 20-22 at Homestead Karting, located on property at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Danica Patrick, motorsports’ first lady, who will race at Homestead-Miami during both IndyCar Championship Weekend (Oct 1-2) and NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend (Nov. 19-21) also started racing karts at a young age.

“Developing a cost efficient ladder program has been my goal for awhile,” said ROTAX technical director Don Moormeister. “We are training our drivers to be competitive at a national level in karting and, when old enough, helping them with their first experience in cars.”

The weekend schedule will include a Friday official practice, Saturday-Sunday format for Qualifying, Pre-Final and Final race each day. Seven classes will compete at Homestead Karting including a newly formed DD 2 Masters class. This class will also compete at the 2010 ROTAX Grand Finals for the first time.
