What is NASCAR Day?
NASCAR Day is a one-day celebration of the NASCAR spirit and its fans. In exchange for a $5 donation, participants will receive a commemorative NASCAR Day lapel pin. Crew Chiefs who have signed up their organization receive a NASCAR Day participation kit that contains all the information needed to successfully celebrate NASCAR Day. The kit includes NASCAR Day pins, a Crew Chief Manual, a collection envelope, a donation envelope and NASCAR Day posters for placement around the office, school, common or high traffic area.
Who Does NASCAR Day Support?
Established in 2006, The NASCAR Foundation was created to bring together a number of charitable organizations and initiatives within the NASCAR Family. While these organizations all serve a number of different initiatives -children's causes, animal welfare and rescue, nature conservancy and more - they are all united by the common thread of NASCAR.
History of NASCAR Day
NASCAR Day began in 2004 and celebrates its fifth observance in 2009. Annually held on the Friday prior to the NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge in May, it's become one of the most important and fastest-growing traditions in the NASCAR Family. By 2006, NASCAR Day had grown to include over 3,000 companies across the country, with over 100,000 pins sold worldwide - and 29 U.S. states issued official proclamations recognizing NASCAR Day!
The NASCAR Foundation Mission
