Last Sunday at Texas, Matt Kenseth’s best wasn’t enough to put out the man on fire – Jimmie Johnson took the checkered flag and the Chase points lead over Hendricks teammate Jeff Gordon. Thirty points now separate Johnson and Gordon, a lead that can vanish with one bad move or one unlucky break. With other Chase contenders’ dreams of a championship slowly slipping away, expect drivers with little to lose to go all out in the final two races of the season.

And nothing beats the sights, sounds and smells of NASCAR's series-crowning finale, and there's still an opportunity to experience it all live. Presenting the Top 5 ways to take in the final race in the Chase for the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, as well as Friday night's Craftsman Truck finale and the last-ever Busch Series championship (Nationwide assumes title sponsorship beginning in 2008).

5. Grandstand

A great place for the hardened NASCAR zealots and the sunshine-seeking casual race fans alike, Homestead-Miami Speedway's grandstands are a melting pot of racing culture. With room for 65,000, the grandstands extend the full front-stretch from the beginning of Turn 4 to the apex of Turn 1. Prices fit every budget, with tickets available for as little as $35 for Friday's Craftsman Truck series Finale (read more about the tight race between Mike Skinner and Ron Hornaday for the Truck series championship here).

Homestead resident Annie Allendorf has attended Ford Championship Weekend since its inception in 2002, taking in the Craftsman Truck, Busch and NEXTEL Cup finales each year in her back yard.

"We have the best track in NASCAR, in my opinion," Allendorf said. "It's just a great weekend of racing: We're the last track in NASCAR, so the races are always important in determining the season's winner, and it's the most exciting racing in NASCAR. I always have a great time."

Key to a day at the track are the amenities, she added: "The bathrooms are always clean, the people are always friendly, there are always a lot of things for the children to do. It's a great experience all around."

GRANDSTAND TICKET AVAILABILITY: Please call (866) 409-RACE or click here. For group tickets, contact Jim D'arecca at href="mailto:jdarecca@homesteadmiamispeedway.com?subject=HMS%20Group%20Sales%20Tickets">jdarecca@homesteadmiamispeedway.com or (305) 230-5229.

4. Speedway Club

The Homestead-Miami Speedway Club offers premium views, eats and access for race fans, and is worth the price of admission, says Jeff Bowman, Ft. Myers resident and Speedway Club ticket holder since 2000.

"They're the best seats in the house," he said of the center front-stretch locale. "You have the in-seat service, access to the Speedway club restrooms, and an exclusive elevator. We're right on the start/finish line, there's a big screen television right across the track—what more can you ask for? You're treated like royalty."

And as for that hardware at stake in the season finale?

"What makes the tickets even better is that it's the 'Super Bowl' of NASCAR," Bowman said. "This is where the champions actually get crowned. You couldn't ask for a better setting than Miami—the weather's great and the city is beautiful."

3. Premier Club/Pit-Stop Party Tent/Six-Pack Party Zone

Already got your grandstand or Speedway Club tickets, and you're looking for a few extra perks to really step the weekend up? Check out the Premier Club, offering guests an exclusive pre-race track tour (Sunday), exclusive appearances from NASCAR drivers and VIPs, delicious catered meals, bottomless ice-cold beverages (beer, wine, soda), VIP parking and souvenirs.

Or experience the Six-pack Party Zone (Saturday) and the Pit-Stop Party Tent (Sunday), both of which include exclusive NASCAR celebrity Q&A sessions, continental breakfast, buffet lunch, unlimited soda and water, three free beer coupons (Sunday only), door prizes, gifts and more.

Both the Pit-Stop Party Tent and Six-Pack Party Zone remain open throughout the day, Speedway Club ticket holder Bowman upgrades to the Premier Club, and sums up the investment this way:

"When you think about it, if I go to all those stands, if I buy the beer and the soda and the food, I'm spending just as much per person," he said. "At the Premier Club, you're getting endless gourmet food, endless soda, endless water, endless beer—all for one price. It's a great way to add to the experience."

PREMIER CLUB/PIT-STOP PARTY TENT/SIX-PACK PARTY ZONE TICKET AVAILABILITY: Passes remain available for ALL THREE races during Ford Championship Weekend. To purchase, please contact Leeana Pena at lpena@homesteadmiamispeedway.com or (305) 230-5125. For more information, click here.

2. Corporate Hospitality Tents

Victory can be achieved via multiple strategies at Homestead-Miami Speedway: Take the checkered flag, tally the most season-series championship…or strike that deal with a client by showing your guests a first-class time in an HMS corporate-hospitality tent in the Turn 2 Village.

Caterpillar, Inc., has been entertaining guests at Homestead-Miami Speedway since 1995. The Peoria, Ill.-based company—active in sponsoring drivers in the Busch and NEXTEL Cup series for the last decade, including Ward Burton and David

Green —returns this year to cheer on current driver of the No. 22 NEXTEL Cup "Cat" car Dave Blaney.

"Our guests have enjoyed coming to the track, particularly the last few years with the Championship Weekend," said Greg Towles, director of racing for Caterpillar. "I would recommend Homestead-Miami Speedway to other businesses: the Championship Weekend is an exciting way to wrap up the season."

Towles recalls his most thrilling moment at Homestead-Miami Speedway: In 1996, his group watched on seat's edge as Green battled Randy LaJoie for the Busch Series championship during the final laps of the season-ending Jiffy Lube Miami 300. (For more about the influx of NEXTEL Cup drivers also running the Busch race, click here).

CORPORATE HOSPITALITY AVAILABILITY: Turn 2 hospitality tents are still available for all three days during Ford Championship Weekend, Nov. 16-18, at Ford Championship Weekend. For more information on reserving a tent, contact Leeana Pena at lpena@homesteadmiamispeedway.com or (305) 230-5215. For more info, click here.

1. The "Ultimate NASCAR Fan Experience"

If there's a more exclusive, all-encompassing "Ultimate" experience for racing fans in NASCAR, it's being kept under serious wraps….

As part of this year's Pineapple Gala- an annual fundraiser presented by Homestead-Miami Speedway to benefit children’s services at Homestead Hospital—Gala co-chairs Steve and Cire Shiver teamed up with HMS to make available the"Ultimate NASCAR Fan Experience".

Raffle tickets are being sold, with the winning ticket holder invited to spend Ford Championship Weekend in the Shiver’s 2007 Allegro Bus Nasa RV—a 43-ft. behemoth that sleeps five comfortably; has a complete kitchen with gas stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher; a free standing dinette; a huge living area that includes seven-foot ceilings with recessed lighting; hand-crafted cabinetry; and a 32-inch front-overhead LCD TV with DVD player and surround sound.

In addition to the RV, the winner will receive VIP credentials for four and a most exclusive dwelling spot: parking on the Speedway’s infield—not accessible, at any price, to NASCAR fans or ticket-holders. The exclusive spot falls adjacent to the lot reserved only for NASCAR drivers, and provides access to the pit area and trackside seating from which the lucky raffle winners can enjoy the race.

"This special VIP package we’ve put together with Homestead Hospital Foundation provides unprecedented access throughout Ford Championship Weekend," said Homestead-Miami Speedway President Curtis Gray. "And the special Speedway credentials entitle the winners to exclusive access of our facility all weekend—something we’ve never done in the past. It truly is the opportunity of a lifetime for a few lucky NASCAR fans."

"ULTIMATE NASCAR FAN EXPERIENCE" AVAILABILITY: Raffle tickets are currently available for purchase at $100, with a limit of 300 tickets available to the public. To purchase raffle tickets for this exclusive package, please call Suhail Andarcio at (786) 243-8112. For more information about the Gala or for event tickets, log on to www.pineapplegala.com.
