XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™

With all of the exciting things to do in South Florida, it's often hard to choose between a sporting event, a concert, hitting an upscale club, going out for great food, or taking a family outing.

For one day, on Saturday, March 24, Homestead-Miami Speedway and XM Satellite Radio have an easy solution to this often difficult decision: attend the first ever XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™ and you can have it all. This unique, exciting, and affordable event blends multiple entertainment components and truly provides something for everyone at an affordable cost, in one convenient location.

XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™ will offer some serious high-speed racing, with three exciting races. The day will start with the IndyPro™ Series Miami 100, featuring some very talented up-and-coming drivers. The Rolex Sports Car Series Linder Industrial Komatsu Grand Prix of Miami is up next where drivers such as South Florida residents Christian Fittipaldi and Osvaldo Negri will race Daytona prototypes made by BMW, Lexus, Porsche, and Ferrari on Homestead-Miami Speedway's 2.3 mile, 11-turn road course.

Later that night, the XM Satellite Radio Indy 300 will feature the stars of the IRL IndyCar® Series, including 2006 champion Sam Hornish Jr., hometown heroes Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan, female racing sensations Sarah Fisher and Danica Patrick, and 2006 Bombardier Rookie of the Year Marco Andretti, who will kick off the racing season at speeds of nearly 220 miles-per-hour on the Speedway's 18 to 20-degree, variable banking. For the first time in the history of the IndyCar® Series, the season will open with a night race held under the lights, promising fans even more excitement than ever before.

Get ready to rock in between races, when world-famous band JET takes the stage in one of their first concerts back in the U.S. after performing throughout Japan, Italy, the UK, Spain and Germany. JET has toured with the Rolling Stones and Oasis, and has sold over 3.5 million copies of their debut album Get Born. They are best known for their hit single "Are You Gonna Be My Girl," which has been featured everywhere from Apple Ipod commercials to the Madden NFL 2004 video game. The band released a new album called Shine On late last year and will showcase these songs and others in a concert before the Indy 300.

Make sure you bring your appetite to XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™, where w:st="on">Memphis in May, the internationally-recognized sanctioning body for world-class barbecue competitions will host a cook off at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Top grill masters will compete for prizes and a spot at the national Memphis in May competition held in Memphis, Tennessee in May.

Sophisticated guys and girls will want to take part in the Champions Club presented by Playboy®, an exclusive hospitality package offered during XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™. Participants will watch the races from the luxurious Turn One Tower, get up close and personal with Playboy® Playmates during scheduled meet and greets and photo sessions, take home a souvenir Playboy® shirt and an optional complementary subscription to the world-famous magazine, and more.

South Florida car enthusiasts will enjoy the car show at XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™ Car Show. This show will feature everything from high-end luxury cars and restored classics to exotics and even choppers on display.

Here's a brand new way to satisfy your need for speed: the inaugural RC Pro Homestead-Miami International Fuel Challenge. Some of the nation's top remote control (RC) drivers will compete on Homestead-Miami Speedway's brand new RC track, designed by a two-time world champion driver. These cars are far from toys, with some hitting speeds up to 90 miles per hour. Come see why some of IndyCar and NASCAR's top drivers are fans of this unique sport.

In addition to all of the other entertainment and activities, XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™ will have a carnival with rides for kids of all ages, driver autograph sessions, music throughout the day, interactive displays and much more.

"XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam is sure to become one of the most exciting entertainment options in South Florida," said Homestead-Miami Speedway President Curtis Gray. "It's also one of the greatest values, giving people a full day of fun for a very low price."

At XM Satellite Radio SpeedJam™, you can have it all! Tickets are on sale now and start at just $25, with kids 12 and under just $15.
