Top drivers from over 40 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series teams will test their cars on the 18-20 degree variable bankings of Homestead-Miami Speedway's 1.5-mile oval next week, as they gear up for Ford Championship Weekend, November 17-19.
Fans will be able to watch their favorite NASCAR celebrities, including Mark Martin, Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, and many more, absolutely free of charge. Former Formula One driver and South Florida resident, Juan Pablo Montoya, will also test a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series car for the very first time at Homestead-Miami Speedway. A few of the "Cars of Tomorrow" will even make their first appearance to test at the Speedway.
To add extra excitement, testing sessions will run after dark and under the lights! Cars will be on track from 1pm to 5pm and 6pm to 9pm all three days. A list of the drivers testing each day will be available at www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com.
Anyone wishing to catch all the action during the Open Test is welcome to do so from the Speedway Club, located on the 4th floor of Homestead-Miami Speedway's Administration building. Upon arrival, please come to the first-floor lobby, sign in and take the elevator up to the Speedway Club.
