    At 3 p.m. today, Homestead-Miami Speedway made history at the highly anticipated and unpredictable all-new Chase format finale, the Ford EcoBoost 400, becoming home of the first-ever NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion decided in the Championship Round. Kevin Harvick, driver of the No. 4 Budweiser Chevrolet, was crowned the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion and winner of the 20th Annual Ford EcoBoost 400.

    CHASE ELLIOTT CLAIMS NATIONWIDE SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP; MATT KENSETH CAPTURES FORD ECOBOOST 300 SATURDAY AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY

    In his first season racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Chase Elliott, driver of the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet car for JR Motorsports, was officially anointed the 2014 series champion Saturday evening at Homestead-Miami Speedway following a 17th place finish in the Ford EcoBoost 300. He secured the title with a fifth place finish at Phoenix International Raceway last week. Tonight, he officially became the youngest NASCAR champion in any NASCAR National Series. He is also the first Rookie of the Year to win a NASCAR National Series Championship.

    GORDON CLAIMS TOP SPOT FOR FORD ECOBOOST 400 ON SUNDAY

    A new track record was set Friday night as Brad Keselowski, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion, broke the Homestead-Miami Speedway track qualifying record with his 181.238 mph lap in the first round of the Coors Lite Pole Qualifying for the Ford EcoBoost 400. It is the fifth qualifying record Keselowski set this year, and the 24th track qualifying record set this year in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series season.

    CRAFTON WINS FIRST BACK-TO-BACK NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES CHAMPIONSHIPS

    Matt Crafton made history Friday night at Homestead-Miami Speedway, as the defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion took home another Series title. Crafton is the thirteenth different driver to win the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) championship, and fourth to win multiple series titles.
